My work moves between three different but related areas. They encompass design assignments, own ceramic production and public art commissions.

Everything I do stems from a strong visual experience, more or less connected to a function. I seek expressions that combine restfulness with intensity. Expressions with a strong presence and concentration, where the language is both clear and sensuous. I alternate between the subtle and the clearly graphic. The two poles are sometimes joined – as in probing the essence of the form, in the rhythm and pulse of the pattern image, or in the flow of light and shade play.

My intention with the artistic design is to evoke an atmosphere, a feeling or a tone. The fundamental existential questions are present - a moment’s sensation of being, when the light changes, or the sensation of the break point between the material and the immaterial.
In the utilitarian objects, poetry is joined with function. The limits of what is expected are extended in a joyful play, and new approaches and solutions emerge.
